Luis Suarez has sent angry message to Steven Gerrard and Liverpool after failed Arsenal transfer

Luis Suarez was reportedly angry with Liverpool and Steven Gerrard when a move to Arsenal fell through, with the Uruguayan striker labelling the club and then head coach Brendan Rodgers as "liars". The Gunners made a £40,000,001 bid for the striker after being alerted to a clause in Suarez's contract letting him move for a bid of over £40million. According to The Athletic, Suarez was furious about his potential move being blocked, with Gerrard playing a key role in helping to keep the striker at the club. "Luis was angry with Fenway. He was fuming with Brendan," Gerrard wrote in his autobiography. "The division between Luis and Brendan, between the player and the club, ran deep and wide. It was hard to see any way of bringing them together." The Liverpool skipper made contact with Suarez, but apparently received a text back from the striker labelling the club and Rodgers as "liars". Gerrard then managed to persuade Suarez to stay at Liverpool for one more season, which saw him score 31 times and earning him a move to Barcelona. Source- football.london  Join us on Telegram!
