Louis van Gaal explains why Donny van de Beek show failed at Manchester United

Manchester United have recorded quite dismal start to the Premier League this term with currently holding 9th place at the table. Louis van Gaal has widely criticised United, which have come in the Dutch media, and contain no small amount of irony. The former United boss had the temerity to question Van de Beek's decision to swap Ajax for Old Trafford in the summer. Given Van Gaal's own (largely very poor) record with new signings during his stint in the United hotseat, the comments simply do not wash. On Van de Beek, Van Gaal said: “I hope his time will come, but I don’t think he made a good choice. I said that right away. “If you have Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes, what position should Van de Beek be in? He doesn’t have the qualities of Pogba and Fernandes. And now you see that Pogba often doesn’t start. Where should Van de Beek play then? “I think you could have seen that beforehand.
