Liverpool will not rule out the idea of finding a replacement for injured Luis Diaz, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Colombian star underwent knee surgery following the knock he got during his side's 3 - 2 defeat to Arsenal back in October.
As per reports, the 25-year-old is set to be sidelined for at least three months and would make a possible return in March. Therefore, Jurgen Klopp could return to the transfer market in January as a potential replacing option for the winger.
However, the football insider wrote in his Caughtoffside column, stating that the Merseysiders are not currently holding negotiations with anyone, but if a matching candidate appears they will consider the possible transfer.
“At the moment it’s still quiet on that front,” Romano said “Of course Diaz out for three months it’s big blow but Liverpool priority is to find a new midfielder.
“On wingers, it depends on the opportunities that come up, but there are no negotiations ongoing.” Romano told.
