Liverpool face Tottenham in the Champions League final on Saturday with a hope of securing their first trophy of the season. Jurgen Klopp’s side finished one point short of the phenomenal Manchester City I the English top-flight and now look to secure a win.
Liverpool won both league games against Spurs this season, fuelling belief that they should prove victorious on June 1.
Although Mane does is not reading into those games, he has certified the Reds as favourites.
“The final is a one-off game, it will be different from the league,” the Senegal forward told
TF1.
"You cannot hide, I think we are favourites.”
“Before the game [against Barca], I had never seen the boss like that,” Mane added.
“Klopp encouraged us but, honestly, not even he believed it. He is exceptional, he makes you want to fight for him and give everything for him.”
"I said to the boys before: 'I don't think it's possible but because it's you I think we have a chance,’” the exhilarated German boss said on the night. “They are really mentality giants. It's unbelievable.
“After the season we played, the games we had, the injuries we had now in this moment, if you go out there and ask who bet a penny on us, I don't think you would find a lot of people.
"We know this club is the mix of atmosphere, emotion, desire and football quality. Cut off one and it doesn't work.”
