Liverpool are demanding £10 for their captain Jordan Henderson amid strong interest from Saudi club Al Ettifaq, as per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
According to The Mail, the Reds' man is going to meet with club manager Jurgen Klopp today and make a final decision in the next 24-48 hours. Al Ettifaq is expected to pay Henderson 50% more of what he currently earns in England.
Ex-Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard, who's the manager of the Dammam-based club, is pushing for the deal.The contract presented to the Reds' captain is two-years-long, with an option of an additional year.
Currently, the 33-year-old club veteran still has two years remaining on his contract at Anfield. Yet, his family has reportedly expressed reservations regarding the potential relocation to the Middle East.
Initially, there were indications that Henderson would be reluctant to leave Liverpool at this stage of his career. He voiced concerns about jeopardizing his position in the England national team, especially with the upcoming Euro '24 tournament at the end of the season.
