Liverpool have been handed major injury blow as Jordan Henderson could miss more than six weeks, according to
the Athletic.
The Reds' skipper went down with a groin injury in the Merseyside derby at the weekend, and had to be taken off. Henderson’s injury is yet to be fully assessed, but Liverpool staff are now fearing the worst.
Initial reports claimed that the Reds leader could be out for just over a month, but this is now described as the ‘best case scenario’. Medical staff actually fear that Henderson may be sidelined for even longer, in what looks another crushing blow for the club.
Liverpool's upcoming clash is on Sunday, against Sheffield United, as the Premier League action resumes.
