Takumi Minamino scored an outrageous goal during training, and Liverpool fans will love it.
The Japanese forward has struggled to break into Jurgen Klopp’s side since his £7.25m move from Red Bull Salzburg, failing to score in the 2019/20 campaign.
However, the footage has emerged which shows that Minamino is only growing in confidence with the Reds despite his lack of game time. In the clip, the squad are at their new Kirkby facility training for their trip to Brighton on Saturday.
And the attacking players are practicing their shooting from the edge of the penalty box one-on-one with the goalkeeper. The Japanese forward gets his turn, deciding to perform two stopovers before pushing the ball to his right for a driven shot.
His effort flies past Adrian and nestles into the top-right corner. And his team-mates scream out in awe while the 25-year-old prepares for the next training exercise. Minamino also shows his creative side by providing two assists and rolling a shot into the bottom-left corner.
