Lionel Messi will miss Barcelona’s USA Tour

Barcelona captain Lionel Messi left out of a pre-season trip to America after straining his right calf in training. The club have not given a return date. Barcelona squad head to North America, where they will play two games against Napoli: one on Thursday 8 (1.00am CEST) and the second on Saturday 10 (11.00pm CEST). Barcelona’s first competitive fixture is Friday, 16 August. More to follow
