Ryan Gravenberch has expressed his desire to see his former Ajax teammate, Jurrien Timber, join him at Liverpool.
Despite strong links to Liverpool and Manchester United in the past year, Timber ultimately signed for Arsenal in a £34 million deal this summer. However, an unfortunate ACL injury suffered in the season's opening game means that Timber won't be able to participate in Premier League matches until well into 2024, much to Gravenberch's disappointment.
Timber, known for his versatility, could have been a dream addition to Liverpool's squad, and Gravenberch believes that Jurgen Klopp should have pursued the opportunity to bring Timber to Merseyside.
During the Reddit AMA, the 21-year-old midfielder stated that if he had the choice, he would love to have the Gunners' man as his teammate at Anfield.
“I would maybe go for a good friend of mine, Jurrien Timber. I played my whole life with him. He’s like a brother to me. That’s why I chose him.”
