Latest Tottenham injury news on Erik Lamela, Tanguy Ndombele, Ben Davies ahead of Chelsea clash

Tottenham are set to face Chelsea on Sunday as Premier League continues. Jose Mourinho's side picked up essential three points on Sunday's 2-1 win over Wolves which lead them to the 5th place in the standings. Spurs will get ready to play against Mourinho's former club and here are injury news for the north London club. Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris is ruled out due to an elbow injury and isn't set to return until January.  The Frenchman sustained a dislocated elbow during 3-0 defeat against Brighton at the Amex Stadium as  Lloris landed awkwardly on his left arm and was in agony inside his own goal. "Everything is well. There can always be hazards, but my goal is to be ready for January," he told French media outlet M6. Erik Lamela has picked up a hamstring injury in training at Hotspur Way which caused him to miss the 2-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield a few days later. The Argentine has not featured for Spurs since the 5-0 home win against Red Star Belgrade in October. Mourinho confirmed that Lamela is yet to take part in a single training session, but is hoping to have him back soon. "I hope I can have him for Christmas," Mourinho told reporters. "When I say Christmas, I'm not saying Chelsea on the 22nd. But I hope maybe the 28th, the first of January." Tottenham substitute goalkeeper Michel Vorm is sidelined with a calf strain. The stopper re-signed for the club to substitute Paulo Gazzaniga following Hugo Lloris' injury earlier in the season. However, the north London club will continue to turn to Alfie Whiteman to be called upon from the bench if needed. Vorm is confirmed to be continuing his rehab with no return date offered. Ben Davies is ruled out through ankle injury picked up in the 3-2 win over West Ham in November. Spurs have since confirmed that the full-back is to "undergo an extensive period of rehabilitation" after the injury. In a further update, Davies is "travelling to the club's medical partners, in Qatar to continue rehab". Tanguy Ndombele missed out on the squad to face Burnley with a groin injury. The midfielder was left out of the squad that travelled to Germany and was left at home for a weekend trip to Wolves. However, there's hope that Ndombele will be fit for the London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Meanwhile, Lucas Moura, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min were all substituted in the closing stages against Wolves, but it was due to tactical reasons rather than for any fitness related reason.
