Real Sociedad have reportedly asked Arsenal to sign club outcast Kieran Tierney on loan from Arsenal.
According to reports from Relevo’s Matteo Moretto, the La Liga side have made contact with the North London club for the inquiry of Tierney for the upcoming season on-loan. The ex Celtic-man, who used to be a standout player in his former club is currently facing uncertainty about his future at the Emirates Stadium.
Upon his £25m arrival in 2019, Tierney has established himself as a key Gunner, which was altered due to Oleksandr Zinchenko's arrival at Arsenal. Even when he was performing as a backup for the Ukrainian star, the 26-year-old would be replaced by Takehiro Tomiyasu during key matches.
Ahead of the upcoming season, Tierney's position in the Arsenal squad is yet again threatened due to the fresh arrival of Jurrien Timber from Ajax.
Sociedad's successful advancement to the group stage of the Champions League has highlighted their need for improved defensive capabilities. In this case, the Arsenal man's skillset would undeniably align with the requirements set by Imanol Alguacil at the Reale Arena. However, this alignment is likely to be on a temporary basis.
