Marcus Rashford has received a message from Kylian Mbappe on Instagram following England's World Cup heartbreak.
The Three Lions suffered a 2-1 defeat to France in the quarter-finals on Saturday and were eliminated from the tournament.
Aurelien Tchouameni opened the scoring at the 17th minute, meanwhile, Harry Kane equalized in the 54th minute with a penalty kick.
Olivier Giroud scored the winner in the 78th minute and Didier Deschamps' side reached the semi-finals where they will face Morocco, who eliminated Portugal in the quarter-finals.
Rashford made 5 appearances in World Cup 2022 in which he scored 3 goals. Meanwhile, Mbappe has scored 5 goals in 5 games and provided 2 assists.
"The last few weeks have been a rollercoaster of emotions, each and every one of our team gave everything we had to be ready for what was thrown at us, we got close, but not close enough," wrote Rashford on Instagram.
"I’ll make a promise that we will come again! Thank you for the unconditional support we have received throughout the tournament, it hasn't gone unnoticed."
Meanwhile, Mbappe took to the comments' section and replied with a heart emoji.
