Manchester United teenager Kobbie Mainoo has revealed to Bruno Fernandes when he would recover from the injury he suffered against Real Madrid.
Mainoo suffered an ankle injury during a friendly game against Real Madrid in pre-season in July and has missed a couple of matches already including Man United's opening three Premier League matches.
The 18-year-old was on course to join Erik ten Hag's first team squad for the 2023/2024 season after he impressed in Manchester United's friendly matches but his progress has been delayed by his unfortunate leg injury.
While he's expected to be out on the sidelines until October, the youngster has issued a fresh update to his captain.
The Manchester United academy graduate shared a photo of him at an event on Instagram and Fernandes replied: "Nice pictures and fashion but on the pitch when can I see you?
Mainoo replied: "Not too long brother."
Erik ten Hag revealed in August that Kobbie Mainoo could be two months away from making his full recovery from the ankle injury.
“At this moment, he’s not available but I think he will also, in say one, two months," Ten Hag said. "Not in one month, but in two months, he will be available. And so, for the winter [that] is coming up, he absolutely will have his games."
Understand that Kobbie Mainoo featured in five of Man United's friendly matches before suffering the injury against Real Madrid.
Manchester United will take a trip to Arsenal on Sunday in what would be their fourth game and second away game in the Premier League this season so far and Mainoo is expected to miss the clash.
