Jurrien Timber has taken to Instagram to send a message following his serious injury that he suffered against Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal confirmed that Timber suffered an ACL injury in his right knee and will undergo surgery.
The Gunners faced Forest in the Premier League season opener on Saturday and celebrated a 2-1 win as Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka scored.
Timber suffered an injury during the game and limped off in the 50th minute as Takehiro Tomiyasu replaced him.
The 22-year-old signed for Mikel Arteta's side during the summer transfer window 2023.
"Gutted to share my injury is more serious than expected, especially after the warm welcome I've received. I wanted to repay you on the pitch, which will not be possible for the forthcoming period. I'm blessed with a lot of great people around me. Together we will do anything to get back as soon and strong as possible," Jurrien Timber wrote on Instagram.
"For now I’ll be supporting our team from the stands ofcourse. Thanks for making me feel at home in such a short period of time, see you at The Carpet."
