Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber and Liverpool central defender Virgil van Dijk were both impressed by Ryan Gravenberch's performance for Jurgen Klopp's team in the UEFA Europa League match against LASK.
Liverpool won the game 3-1 in UEFA Europa League Group E on Thursday night, with goals from Darwin Nunez (via a penalty), Luis Diaz, and Mohamed Salah.
Ryan Gravenberch, the 21-year-old Dutch international who joined Liverpool from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window, was in the starting lineup for the game. He played in the center of a three-man midfield within a 4-3-3 formation for the Reds.
The Dutchman made a significant contribution, providing the assist for Diaz's goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he had to be substituted in the 61st minute due to an injury. Klopp has mentioned that it was just a cramp, which suggests that Liverpool fans don't need to be overly concerned about the situation. Hopefully, it's not a serious injury.
After the clash, Gravenberch took to Instagram to share his feelings about the Europa League win, writing: "Three points to start the @EuropaLeague."
Timber commented on the post with a heart emoji, while Van Dijk used a raising hands emoji to show his excitement.
