Jurgen Klopp explains why Liverpool signed Harvey Elliott

Liverpool confirmed on Sunday they had reached a deal with Fulham to sign Harvey Elliot and boss Jurgen Klopp has explained why. Elliott become the youngest ever Premier League player when he came on as a substitute for Fulham against Wolves at the age of just 16 years and 30 days. He made his debut for the Reds when he came on for the final 11 minutes of the 3-0 loss to Napoli in Edinburgh and made a good impression. Speaking after the match Klopp said: “I could say so many positive things about the boy, we signed him, he came here, he decided on us and could have gone pretty much everywhere but he wanted to be part of Liverpool . “The stories with the boy start early and already he is the youngest ever Premier League player and has broken quite a few records because of his talent. Now he is here so let's work with him. He needs game time, we will see where he gets that but he is obviously a fine, fine footballer and that's why we were really interested.”
