Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Andy Robertson has turned out to be an absolute bargain for Liverpool.
The Reds signed Robertson for just £8 million from Hull City back in 2017. Since then the Scottish professional sparkled with Klopp's side, becoming one of the best left-backs in the world.
Speaking about the defender, Liverpool boss confirmed he was shocked by the player's improvement at Anfield as the 26-year-old is better than he expected.
He told
the Liverpool Echo:
“Three years since he signed. Robbo, we would have paid £30m and it would be worth it.
Not about the money we took him. £8m if you are not good enough is expensive. He was brought in because we thought he could help us.
He is a much better person and footballer [than I thought]. A massive win-win for us. A perfect fit from Glasgow.”
