Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that both Diogo Jota and Alisson sustained injuries during the 1-1 draw against Manchester City, potentially ruling them out of the upcoming Premier League clash against Arsenal next month.
Klopp provided insights into the extent of their injuries, expressing that Alisson's recovery might see him miss several games, including fixtures against LASK, Fulham, Sheffield United, and Crystal Palace, with a possible return against Manchester United on December 17.
On the other hand, Diogo Jota's injury is deemed more severe, and the timeline for his return remains uncertain.
"Both are out (Alisson and Jota). Ali is a bit lesser, so we have to see," the manager said in his press conference ahead of the Europa League clash against LASK, via football.london.
This setback adds to Liverpool's existing injury concerns, with players like Andy Robertson and Thiago already sidelined. The absence of these key players could pose challenges for Klopp during a crucial period of the season, while Arsenal may receive a boost in their hopes of having a successful match with one of the title challengers of the current season.
