Junior Firpo sends message to Leo Hjelde following Sunderland move

Junior Firpo has taken to Instagram to share a message for Leo Hjelde following his move to Sunderland.

Hjelde signed for Sunderland during the January transfer window from Leeds United.

The 20-year-old has been with Leeds since 2021 and spent half season on loan at Rotherham United in 2023.

He has now signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Black Cats for an undisclosed fee.

Taking to Instagram, Hjelde wrote: "As you all maybe seen I’ve decided to leave Leeds. I want to say a massive thanks to all my teammates over the years, coaching staff and medical team and obviously the fans!

"I’ve loved every single minute of my time here and hopefully this isn’t the last dance and i will see you guys in the future💙💛 All the best for the rest of the season. MOT."

Firpo took to the comments section and wrote: "All the best Leo."
