Julian Nagelsmann’s agent Volker Struth has broken the silence on his client's failed move to Chelsea.
After his Bayern Munich sacking, the 35-year-old head coach was heavily linked with the move to Stamford Bridge. After long-term talks, Chelsea continued their recruitment process with other candidates.
According to Struth, Nagelsmann was Chelsea's number-one candidate for the managerial role, however, decided now to stick with the idea of being the Blues' next head coach. Agent believes his client has made the right decision.
"Can confirm that Chelsea were quick to call for Julian. He was their number 1 choice. I believe it would have happened if he wanted it," Struth told podcast Phrasenmaher.
"It was the right decision by Julian not to go there," he added.
