Brentford striker Ivan Toney may be open to a January transfer to Chelsea, as suggested by journalist Dean Jones.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with the 27-year-old player as they contemplate adding a new center-forward to their squad. Last month, the Evening Standard reported that both the Blues and Arsenal are considering moves for Toney, with a potential price tag of up to £80 million.
Jones believes that Toney is interested in making the move to Chelsea, and he believes that Mauricio Pochettino's side are the most likely destination for the striker.
When discussing the possibility of Toney joining Chelsea in the upcoming year, Jones shared his thoughts on GiveMeSport: “Brentford have been great for him, but he knows that he’s capable of playing somewhere bigger than that.
“So I think that Chelsea clearly is a club that have interest in him and I think that he’s interested in that too. I’d say there’s probably the highest chance of it happening as we stand right now.”
