Journalist claims Tottenham ‘are in negotiations’ to sign £13m-rated defender

Italian journalist Nicolo Schira has claimed that Tottenham are still in the race for Kim Min-Jae. Even though Spurs were reportedly the front-runners for the Beijing Guoan defender last month (Sports.news.naver via TEAMtalk), the likes of PSV Eindhoven (Eindhovens Dagblad) and Lazio (Il Messaggero via Calcio Mercato) are said to have moved ahead of the Lilywhites in the race for the defender. Goal’s Korean football journalist, Steve Han has claimed that Tottenham’s interest in the 23-year-old never going beyond making an enquiry. However, Schira, who is one of the more reliable journalists out there when it comes to transfer news, has revealed that Spurs are still negotiating with Beijing Guoan for Kim’s signature. He stated on social media that the Chinese Super League club are ready to sell the centre-back for €15 million (£13.4million).
