Jan Vertonghen claims Tottenham have the players to cope without Harry Kane as Spurs star suffered an injury to his left hamstring during New Year's Day clash with Southampton.
Jose Mourinho's side were defeated with 1-0, as Danny Ings scored for the Saints, and sit on the 6th place in the Premier League.
Vertonghen accepts that Kane will be a miss for however long he is out, but is backing other players to step up.
“Harry is obviously a very important player for us, one of the best players in the league and on and off the pitch he’s very important,” the centre-back said.
“But we have the squad to cope without him.”
Tottenham are set to face Middlesbrough in the frames of FA Cup on Saturday and after that they have the league's leader Liverpool as rivals to face next week.
