James Pearce provides latest update on Thiago Alcantara chase

Liverpool journalist James Pearce has provided an update on Thiago Alcantara amid transfer talks. Bayern Munich midfielder has been linked with the move to Anfield, with Jurgen Klopp eager to see him playing along with his side. Meanwhile, there have been talks over Georginio Wijnaldum’s doubtful future at the club as Barcelona new boss Ronald Koeman wants to land the midfielder at Camp Nou. And speaking about the latest Thiago situation, Pearce said: “My information is that, that is still massively relying on what happens with [Georginio] Wijnaldum’s future and if Wijnaldum was to push for a move and if Barcelona were to table an acceptable offer, then of course then Thiago becomes, I think, a perfect ready-made replacement to go and get because Liverpool know he is available and keen to make that move.”
