Ilkay Gundogan has sent a warning to Liverpool following Manchester City's defeat to Tottenham in the Premier League.
The Spurs beat Pep Guardiola's side 3 - 2 on Saturday, with Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane scoring the winning goals for their team.
After the game, City remained the leaders of the domestic top tier, however, now sitting just six points ahead of rivals Liverpool.
“It’s not a situation that we’re not used to,” Gundogan said after the match and continued:
“We know from recent years that Liverpool are always contenders.
“They’re always up there. We know they’ll try everything to make our lives as difficult as possible.
“The good thing is that they still need to come here to the Etihad, but there are still many games to go.”
