Ibrahima Konate breaks silence on Liverpool transfer interest and makes RB Leipzig admission

Ibrahima Konate has spoken out on speculations linking him with a move to Liverpool. The RB Leipzig defender is believed to be the Reds top summer transfer target as Jurgen Klopp's side have been dealing with several injuries in the defense. During this season, the 21-year-old, whose contract with Leipzig expires in 2023, has made overall 18 appearances in which he has scored one goal. When asked on the speculation surrounding his future, Konate told Bild: "There are often rumours in football and many believe them immediately. "I or my agents did not get a call from Liverpool. I also have big goals with RB Leipzig. "These are currently the best possible result in the Bundesliga, reaching the cup final and [winning] the under-21 European Championship with France." "I have a contract until 2023," he added. "And contracts are there to fulfil them."   source - Express / Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
