Ian Wright's shocking prediction: £38M Arsenal star set to miss rest of season

Jurrien Timber's promising start at Arsenal was abruptly halted by a knee injury after his debut Premier League match.

Despite displaying potential during pre-season and in Arsenal's Community Shield triumph over Manchester City, Timber's season took a grim turn following the Nottingham Forest clash.

While the 22-year-old continues his recovery, Mikel Arteta remains cautiously optimistic about his return before the season's end. However, the Gunners' legend Ian Wright isn't as hopeful, expressing doubts about the Dutchman's comeback during a Premier League Productions interview.

After Arsenal's noteworthy 3-1 victory against Liverpool, the pundit highlighted the importance of the team's injured players, including Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus, and Takehiro Tomiyasu, in their quest for the Premier League title.

The club eagerly awaits the return of these key players, knowing their presence could bolster their title aspirations. However, the Netherlands' international's uncertain status adds another layer of intrigue to the North Londoners' season, leaving fans and pundits alike pondering his potential comeback.

“There is Jesus (to come back from injury),” said Wright via HITC. “Thomas Partey maybe.

“I don’t think Timber is going to be back in time. Tomiyasu. You look at what we have got and I mention those players, then we are probably where we are now.”
