Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his admiration for defender Takehiro Tomiyasu following an impressive appearance against Sheffield United.
The Arsenal starting lineup held some surprises, including Emile Smith Rowe's return to the league starting lineup after a long absence, the inclusion of Kai Havertz and Jakub Kiwior, and a standout performance from Eddie Nketiah, who secured his first league hat-trick.
Fabio Vieira added a fourth goal through a penalty, while Takehiro Tomiyasu was thrilled to score his first goal for Arsenal after coming on as a substitute for Ben White.
Mikel Arteta expressed his deep appreciation for Tomiyasu, especially after his goal against Sheffield United. Following a challenging performance by Oleksandr Zinchenko in a recent match against Chelsea, the defender's versatility and impressive display in the Champions League have provided Arteta with additional options for his team selection.
“I love him. Everybody loves him," Arteta said during a press conference after Arsenal's 5-0 victory over the Premier League's bottom-placed team, via TBR Football.
“He’s one of the most popular in that dressing room. You can see the reaction of his teammates towards him because they want him there in the front to enjoy because he’s always very reserved and always doing things for the rest of the boys. A fantastic player for the team.”
