Football London journalist Alasdair Gold has opened up on Oliver Skipp's future at Tottenham.
Skipp made his senior debut for the Spurs back in October 2018 during the club's 3-1 win over West Ham in the Carabao Cup. The 20-year-old is currently playing on loan at Championship side Norwich City.
Gold recently uploaded a
video onto his YouTube
channel, where he shared some topics concerning Jose Mourinho's side.
And speaking about the midfielder, he said:
“When I said about a replacement for [Pierre-Emile] Hojbjerg [earlier in the video], I think it’s going to be Oliver Skipp in the future.
“Oliver Skipp is smashing it at Norwich, they’re so happy with him, the fans and the staff [have] absolutely really taken to him.
“His performances have been superb and I think, I get an inkling that Mourinho is going to groom him to be the essentially other Hojbjerg when he comes back.
“He’s already said [that] he sees him as a future captain and I think that role would suit him very well.”
