"I cannot say": Jamie Carragher claims Arsenal man was "quite fortunate" v Newcastle

Jamie Carragher has revealed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was "quite fortunate" with his first goal last night. Arsenal beat Newcastle with a 3  - 0 score in the Premier League, with Gabon international scoring the opening goal for his side. And speaking about Aubameyang’s opening strike, Carragher told Monday Night Football on Sky Sports: “That bit of quality [from Partey], they have played out,” said Carragher. “This happened two or three times in the first half [to Newcastle] getting caught on the counter-attack. “And Aubameyang just delivers. It’s not great from the goalkeeper. He [Darlow] thinks it’s going to go [to his near post]. Just as he [Aubameyang] is connecting, you see the goalkeeper’s stance, he is already on his left leg. Ready to go there where he thinks he’s going to shoot. “I think Aubameyang has just hit that. He’s probably quite fortunate. I cannot say it’s not a great finish. It’s not right in the corner. It’s almost gone down the throat of the goalkeeper.”
