David Luiz is fighting to play one last time for Arsenal, according to Goal correspondent Charles Watts.
Gunner have just two Premier League games left, while the Brazilian defender, who is set to leave the club at the end of the season, wants to play for the team at least once before his exit.
“I am told that David Luiz is still determined to try and play again before the end of the season,” said Watts.
“He’s got this hamstring injury, obviously we know he’s going to leave Arsenal at the end of the season now. He’s still working hard despite all of that, to try and at least get one last appearance in.”
“I think it’s probably looking unlikely that David Luiz will be involved on Wednesday night; if he is going to play any sort of part again at Arsenal, it would be in Sunday’s game against Brighton, but he is working hard in the gym to try and get some game time before his contract expires at the end of the season.”.
