How Chelsea could line up under Frank Lampard

Chelsea have officially confirmed the appointment of Frank Lampard as the caretaker manager until the end of the season following the sacking of Graham Potter.

Todd Boehly took decisive action by terminating the former Brighton coach's contract after just seven months in charge. Under Potter, the West London outfit have lowered their place in the bottom half of the Premier League with no realistic chance of qualifying for European competition next season.

Frank, who was Chelsea's head manager back in 2019-2021, is now making a spectacular comeback to his beloved club.

However, even though the 44-year-old coach might not have enough time to make any major adjustments in the squad straight away, plenty of players at the club remain acquainted with the former midfielder's tactics.

As a coach, Lampard is known for his tactical flexibility and his ability to develop young players. He has a strong emphasis on possession-based football and encourages his team to play with creativity.

During his coaching period in London, the boss led the team to a top-four finish in the domestic league and as well as reaching the final of the FA Cup.

The former England international mostly used a 4-3-3 style but also experimented with a 4-2-3-1.

Therefore, this is how Chelsea could line up under Frank Lampard as a caretaker manager.
