Jesse Marsch has sent a message to Leeds United players as the club are only two points above the Premier League relegation zone.
The American manager believes that his side has enough potential to escape being engaged in a relegation survival.
The Yorkshire outfit kicked off their campaign in a solid 3-0 victory over Chelsea, which was the highlight of the Whites' season.
However, a midseason setback before the World Cup caused Leeds to slide down the standings but the pressure on Marsch and the squad were somewhat lessened with victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
Following the 1 - 3 defeat to Manchester City, Marsch will have a trip to St. James' Park to face Newcastle United coming up.
Speaking to Amazon Prime, quoted by Leeds Live, the manager admitted:
"I’m just looking to stay focused on our ability to stay in the moment and be at our best for each match. I feel like when we do that, we can have a good team.
"We still have work to do, we still need to get a couple guys healthy, because we think some of those guys can really help us, but I just want us to keep our heads down and focus on getting better week-to-week. We know that we have enough quality in our team to not be in a relegation battle, but it will require this kind of mentality to just be a workman, go after it everyday, and do everything we can."
