Former Tottenham star Teddy Sheringham believes that his ex-club should consider acquiring a striker similar to Evan Ferguson from Brighton as a replacement for Harry Kane.
The England international recently left North London to join Bayern Munich, yet the Spurs have not yet secured a direct successor.
In an interview with the Daily Express regarding his preferences for who should fill the shoes of the England captain at Spurs, Sheringham expressed his thoughts.
“I like the look of him [Ferguson]. He is a tremendous prospect, but he is very young. It would be a massive amount of pressure if Tottenham looked at him to replace Kane with," he said, via HITC.
Sheringham added: “I do think that [Ivan] Toney and Ferguson are the type of strikers that Tottenham need to add. They are missing that focal point to spearhead the attack.”
