Chelsea's recent transfer activities, particularly during the Todd Boehly era, have been lackluster. Even before Boehly's tenure, the club made several questionable signings.
Players like Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, and Hakim Ziyech, signed under Roman Abramovich, turned out to be disappointments, with a tendency to prioritize big names over genuine talent.
In the BBC Transfer Gossip Daily Podcast, Harry Redknapp discussed talents in the Championship and expressed his belief that Chelsea missed an opportunity by not signing Jarrod Bowen during his time at Hull City.
Redknapp shared his assessment of the £20 million winger, saying (via TBR Football):
“There are players down there. Look at Bowen, I remember watching Bowen play for Hull against Chelsea one night on TV in a cup game, and he ran Chelsea ragged, but Chelsea never came in for him. A couple of months later West Ham take a gamble and look at how good he’s been.”
