Harry Kane's Bayern Munich transfer saga: Key negotiations imminent, Fabrizio Romano confirms

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the ongoing transfer saga involving Harry Kane and Bayern Munich.

Exclusively writing in his CaughtOffside column, the Italian transfer expert has reported that the Bundesliga giants have submitted a second bid for the Tottenham striker.

However, the crucial detail is that the England international has yet to discuss his future with new Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou.

This lack of formal communication from the 29-year-old makes his upcoming meeting with Postecoglou highly significant in determining the course of his situation.

The allure of acquiring a top-caliber striker like Kane would undoubtedly benefit Bayern. At the same time, the Premier League star would relish the opportunity to play for a prestigious club and compete for major trophies, something he hasn't experienced during his entire career in Lodnon.

Furthermore, the North Londoners' star is in the final year of his contract in England, which adds an element of risk for the club, as they would not want to lose him on a free transfer to a Premier League rival next summer.

“An important update from Tottenham – they’ve been approached again by Bayern Munich for Harry Kane. Some sources say it was a verbal bid, some say it was an official bid, so it’s difficult to clarify the situation precisely, especially when Tottenham’s stance is clear, that they don’t want to sell the player.

“But Bayern have made a new bid after their first offer was rejected, as I said previously – they have no desire to give up. They submitted a new bid of €80m plus add-ons. The message from Tottenham remains very clear – it is very unlikely that they will accept this, that is the feeling of those close to the board and to Daniel Levy."
