Graham Potter has spoken out on Raheem Sterling as Chelsea prepare to face Manchester City in the Premier League. The Blues prepare to host City in the league on Thursday, January 5.
Sterling joined Chelsea during the summer transfer window from City and has a contract until 2027. He has so far made 21 appearances in which he has scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists.
“It’s been a challenge for him but it’s been a challenging period for everybody. There’s been a lot of change and a lot has happened, so in that regard, it’s not easy to completely settle or hit the ground running. There is more to come from Raheem I’m sure but he gives his best every day and we need to help him get to the level we know he can reach," said Potter on Sterling during a press conference.
Currently, Chelsea are 10th in the league table, meanwhile, City are second with eight points behind league leaders Arsenal, who have already played their game against Newcastle in a goalless draw on Tuesday.
