Graham Potter explains his decision to sub off Joao Felix in half-time vs Leicester City

Graham Potter has explained his decision to sub off Joao Felix at half-time in Chelsea's Premier League clash against Leicester City.

Felix started for the Blues against the rivals on Saturday, picking up ankle pain at the start of the meeting. He played the rest of the first half, while Potter decided to bring on Conor Callagher on the pitch and give the Portuguese a rest in the last minutes.

After the clash, the manager confirmed he made a tactical decision and there was nothing regarding Felix's fitness problem.

“Just tactically, I wanted to use an extra midfielder,” Potter said, via Absolute Chelsea.

“I felt we needed someone who could ball win, a different profile and I thought Conor was fantastic when he came on.”
