Glenn Murray has opened up on Alexis Mac Allister's future at Brighton amid exit talks.
The 24-year-old has recently returned from international duty in Qatar, where he managed to lift the World Cup trophy with Argentina's national team.
After the latest success, the player has been heavily linked with the move away from Seagulls, with Arsenal and Tottenham reportedly showing interest in him.
Despite the transfer rumours, Murray believes Mac Allister is happy at Brighton and would decide on staying at his current side.
“I think he’s happy. I think that Brighton’s next step. They now have a lot of assets in their team and it’s whether they can keep the group together," the pundit told Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports News.
“If they do, then there is only one way they are going to go. They are going to progress. There is Robert Sanchez there. There is Caicedo. Mitoma and Mac Allister, so they have got a really good stable. It’s just a case of whether they want to keep them together and I believe Tony Bloom will want to and he will want to progress the football club.”
