AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso has spoken out on the rumours linking Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea and hopes that he'll stay in Italy for as long as possible.
The 31-year-old is on loan at the San Siro from Juventus this season and has only scored eight goals.
However, Gatttuso is more than hopeful of Higuain staying in Italy for the rest of the season and believes he is still showing the professionalism required despite the links.
"There are some chatter about him at the moment, but I see how he trains, the availability that he gives me and the professionalism he puts in," he said.
"The rest are his own things, his brother, his attorney who talks to Leonardo.
"I hope he stays as long as possible - if it does not, we'll see. Professionalism for me will not be a problem."
