Gary Neville believes Ruben Loftus-Cheek's future at Chelsea is doubtful as the club could cash in sooner than later.
The 24-year-old has missed the most part of the last season, making just 10 appearances for Frank Lampard's side. He started in the Blues' first Premier League match of the 2020/21 campaign against Brighton, though being substituted after the hour mark.
The England international could find his playing time limited at Stamford Bridge once the club newly-comer Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic return from injury. And Neville has shared his thoughts on Loftus-Cheek's latest display and future at the Premier League side.
Former Manchester United captain told Sky Sports (via
Independent):
“I thought he was really disappointing. I don’t think Loftus-Cheek can complain. He’s been given games.
“I don’t think he’s ever grasped his chance yet. There’s going to come a point when they’re going to cash in and get £25million for him.”
