TalkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has recommended that Tottenham make a move for Ivan Toney from Brentford during the upcoming January transfer window.
Currently sitting in fourth place in the Premier League under Ange Postecoglou, Spurs have rebounded effectively from a five-game winless streak, securing three consecutive victories.
Agbonlahor envisions Spurs as a formidable team if they acquire Toney. Despite possessing a robust attack with key players like Heung-min Son, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, and an in-form Richarlison, the pundit emphasizes the need for a new striker, especially with Son's upcoming absence due to international duty and the absence of a replacement for Harry Kane.
“Spurs have got in great signings, [Micky] Van de Ven, [James] Maddison, [Destiny] Udogie has come in from his [Udinese] loan, [Yves] Bissouma is playing better, get a striker!" he said, via TBR Football.
“[Dejan] Kulusevski on the right, Son [Heung-min] on the left, a top striker like Toney with Maddison in behind, Spurs would be frightening!”
