Four Arsenal stars face late fitness tests to decide whether they will be fit to face Newcastle United on Saturday.
The Gunners will hope to secure their third successive victory at St James’ Park following win over West Ham and Cardiff City.
Alex Iwobi will return to the squad having recovered from the illness, while other international stars will be checked at London Colney before a decision is made whether they fit or not.
Those players are Granit Xhaka, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Sokratis and Danny Welbeck.
"I hope that they come back well and prepare for the match in Newcastle," said Emery.
“Saturday is another important step,” he said. “I want us to continue showing out personality on the pitch.
“We are in a process and we need wins, so it was very important in our last match that we won.
“We want to continue improving things at Newcastle,” Emery added.
