Former Manchester United interim coach Ralf Rangnick has encouraged Julian Nagelsmann to consider joining Tottenham Hotspur, which he considers an "exciting club".
After ruling himself out of Chelsea's managerial race, Nagelsmann has been linked with the vacant Tottenham manager position. The 35-year-old German coach was sacked from his occupation in Bayern Munich just last month.
Rangnick previously worked as Director of Football at RB Leipzig while Nagelsmann was the coach. The former believes that he would need a similar figure to work alongside him at Spurs.
The ex-Bayern boss is a leading candidate for the Tottenham job this summer as the club seeks a new manager following Jose Mourinho's dismissal. Nagelsmann has previously spoken about his admiration for English football.
Rangnick was appointed as United's interim coach in December 2021 but left the club at the end of the season, as plans for him to continue in a consultancy role were scrapped. He has since taken charge of the Austrian national team and aims to guide them to the European Championship finals next summer.
