Former Aston Villa and Newcastle midfielder Nolberto Solano was arrested for breaching coronavirus lockdown in his homeland, Peru, according to reports.Peru has banned the social gatherings from March 16, having 580 confirmed coronavirus cases and 9 deaths from the virus.According to news outlet Peru 21, Solano was arrested after attending a party in the district of La Molina, breaking national rules. Police had to climb into the house, having found the 45-year-old and ex-midfielder Pablo Zegarra. Solano, who is currently coach of the Peru Under 20s, claimed the house belonged to his neighbour. He said: “I live here, around the corner. This is my friend’s house, he’s my neighbour. You’re wasting time on this. This is disrespectful.First there was no party to begin with. I think it’s more of a party ... there should be more noise or psychedelic music, and more than 50 or 100 people. We were a group of friends who had invited us for lunch and we’ve been chatting there.” Source: Birmingham Live
