FIFA The Best voting scandal? Captain of national team says he didn't vote for Messi

Nicaragua national team captain Juan Barrera has announced he didn't vote for Lionel Messi at FIFA The Best award, while it is mentioned that his vote went to Barcelona captain. "I did not vote for Messi. I was surprised to be on the list of captains who voted for Messi and there is no explanation how it appeared there," Barrera dolt La Prensa (via Daily Mail). Virgil van Dijk was the favourite to win the award, as he won Champions League title after beating Lionel Messi in semi-finals. Surprisingly, FIFA announced Messi as the best player.
