Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has opened up on Arsenal's interest in Ivan Fresneda. According to him (via HITC), it has been claimed that the Gunners have not yet made an official proposal to sign Real Valladolid's young talent despite their admiration for him.
Fresneda has established himself as one of La Liga's most promising right-backs this season, known for his attacking prowess and versatility to contribute in central areas as well.
While some see him as a more attacking version of Ben White, Arsenal have not taken the step of submitting an official offer. Nevertheless, the club appreciate the young starlet and have been monitoring him since January.
The 18-year-old right-back has a release clause of £26.5 million in his contract. Arsenal, however, maintain their interest in securing his transfer during the summer.
The race to sign the young talent is still open, with Borussia Dortmund also interested in his services.
