According to Fabrizio Romano, there remains a possibility of Ivan Perisic departing Tottenham Hotspur before the conclusion of this month's transfer window.
Spurs have already made notable moves in the transfer market, securing Timo Werner on loan and finalizing a permanent deal for Radu Dragusin.
Additionally, they successfully freed up wages by offloading Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier. The potential departure of Perisic adds another layer to the club's' transfer dealings.
Ivan Perisic to Depart Tottenham Soon, Confirms Fabrizio Romano
Tottenham secured the services of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer, necessitating a substantial weekly wage of £180,000 to secure the deal, according to Spotrac.
Despite being signed without transfer fees, the 34-year-old is now the second-highest earner at Spurs, with only captain Son Heung-min commanding a higher salary.
Unfortunately, the Croatian's season has been marred by injuries, including an ACL damage in September, raising doubts about his return to action until the next season.
Therefore, Fabrizio Romano has expressed a 99 percent certainty that Perisic will not play for the North Londoners again. Moreover, the Italian transfer insider has suggested the possibility of the midfielder departing before the current transfer window closes later this month.
“My answer is no, I don’t think Ivan Perisic is going to play for Tottenham anymore in his career.
“Because of the injury, of course, but also because Hajduk Split are still dreaming of Ivan Perisic as January signing. So, they are going to push this week, next week, to make the deal happen.
“Hajduk want Ivan Perisic, so there is still a chance for Perisic to leave Tottenham in the January transfer window. But, in any case, it’s 99 per cent guaranteed that Ivan Perisic is not going to play for Tottenham anymore.” Romano stated via Kick.
