Liverpool will have a chance to acquire Cheick Doucoure from Crystal Palace, but only if they present a substantial offer.
The Reds' interest in the 23-year-old has been ongoing for about a month. However, with only eight days remaining in the transfer window, no progress has been made.
According to Fabrizio Romano, a deal is unlikely unless Jurgen Klopp's side agree to a significant financial arrangement. The Italian transfer insider indicates that the Merseysiders already understand the potential terms set by Palace.
As the deadline approaches, the cost of acquiring the Malian player is not decreasing, but if the Premier League giants want to secure the midfielder, they must pay a 'crazy bid', as Romano reported.
“Eze at Crystal Palace is also super appreciated,” Romano says on Manchester City’s interest in Eberechi Eze in his Daily Briefing.
"But they have the feeling that Palace don’t want to lose important players and only a crazy bid will change the situation.
“It’s a similar situation with Cheick Doucoure and Liverpool – the situation has always been the same. Liverpool asked for deal conditions last week, let’s see if they will decide to bid or not, but Crystal Palace want to keep Doucoure, he’s a key player for them so it could only happen in case of huge bid.”
