Fabrizio Romano has delivered an update on Christian Pulisic's future at Chelsea.
The Blues are having a busy January transfer window as the club has already welcomed David Datro Fofana, Andrey Santos and Benoit Badiashile to London
Meanwhile, according to the Italian transfer insider, the USA international could be the first player departing from Stamford Bridge in January.
Since joining the West Londons side from Borussia Dortmund in 2019, the 24-year-old failed to establish himself in the first squad.
Spending the majority of his time on the bench, Pulisic has yet to impress any of his coaches, including former manager Thomas Tuchel and current boss Graham Potter, that he is suitable for a starting position.
The winger has 18 months left on his future contract and as the winter transfer window gets closer, the player would find his way out of London for regular first-team football.
Therefore, speaking to his CaughtOffside column in the Daily Briefing, the insider has claimed he has been told that the player would most probably leave the Premier League giants this winter.
“At the moment, there is nothing concrete or advanced, but I’m told Christian Pulisic could leave the club in January if Chelsea bring in a new winger.
“Of course, it depends on clubs making offers and many other factors – as of now it’s a scenario and not a negotiation.”
